time to get muddy paws

It’s not just us humans that need a break, our dogs love to explore new places and sniff new smells. Now there is no need to abandon luxury for a dog friendly cottage. You can pack your pooch and enjoy the same unique interiors, gorgeous locations and indulgences like luxury cottages with hot tubs, fire pits and sumptuous interiors with your pal.  So let your dog off the leash its time to get exploring and get those tails wagging again.

curl up in your own dog bed

Packing canine clobber can be a bit of a squeeze. So, luxury dog friendly cottages will not only have inviting beds for humans but cosy ones for your four legged friend too. Arriving to a comfy dog bed, bowls, towels to dry off after a muddy walk all helps to make loading up the car a little less onerous.

At Elsie’s and Anchor cottage a crate, bed and bowls are offered along with a towel and shampoo to keep your four legged friend looking their best.

After your muddy walks, a hose pipe is a godsend when your dog has managed to find the  filthiest bog to roll in. So wash them down, dry them off and they can happily curl up in their bed by the fire.

Wild gardens at Elsies Cottage are perfect for dogs to explore, with miles of dog walks on your doorstep with wooded tracks of the Malvern Hills.

If it’s a luxury dog friendly stay by the beach you’re looking for,  Anchor cottage is literally a stones throw from Porthleven beach. Step out the gate onto the southwest coastal path and walk for as long as your legs will take you. windswept beaches and cliff tops await, and you can return with your faithful friend and warm your toes but the fire in your luxury dog friendly cottage or in one of Cornwall’s most iconic pubs The Ship Inn.

So morning constitutional and evening dash are easy.

it’s not all doggie treats!

Time away with your faithful friend shouldn’t mean missing out. Luxury dog friendly cottages have your needs at heart.

We trust your dog with sumptuous interiors and there’s no reason to miss out on wood fired  hot tub, or enjoying designer touches which make a holiday home feel so special.

After a long day exploring and racking up the miles on foot, you can indulge in a soak under stars or a toddy around the fire pit, or a pint in the iconic Cornish pub on your doorstep.

Holidays are precious because our time away from the pressures of work and home life are so fleeting. Who wants an average holiday, when we can enjoy luxury, dog friendly spaces that make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive.

sand between the paws

Oh for days spent running along acres of sand, wave dodging and chasing a runaway ball with the wind in your tail and sand between your paws.

Yep, our four legged friends dream of beach days too.  SO together you can go explore new coves and out of the way little bays where the bucket and spade brigade avoid but you and your faithful friend will love and own as yours.

From Anchor Cottage in Porthleven Loe bar beach and lake are just a 30 minute stroll along the coast line and there you have free rein, as it’s not for swimming.

Discover Porthkidney Beach, a real stunner with Carribean azure seas and stunning expanses of sand which will get tails wagging whilst you paddle in the shallows.

Or maybe you’d prefer to step back to a simpler life around the Helford Estuary with coves a plenty and wooded tracks for plenty of space and quieter waters for a swim.

special moments with your pal

Us dog walkers know we are often privy to some of the best moments nature has to share. Our dogs get us up early enough for sunrise and drag us out at dusk.  Whilst it can be a bit of a drag when on your hols, it does mean capturing some gorgeous moments with a setting sun or drawing back the curtains on the day.

Whether it’s up a hill at Elsie’s Cottage or on the beach at Porthleven, nature never disappoints, these peaceful moments are ones we cherish and live on in our memories.

So thank your little mutt for dragging you out, to witness the best of the day.
